    Hi,

You are still able to do this.

Have a look at the screenshot, it shows how to do it.

Very glad you are happy with the new chat 🙂

    Hi Mike,
We will take a look at this for you. Can you tell us what browser you normally use? No-one else has raised this issue so we really do need to take this as an individual case.
    Thanks

Yes, he is good 🙂 But most of his stuff is English.

Could you give me names of French singers who sing French songs…

    Hi,

I’m learning French too 😉 Salut!!!

Most of the popular series, tv shows etc are translated into french, you could probably find them online.

Music, I guess you’ll need to find some French Radio stations, like RTL 2, Fun radio, Radio France. I listen to them from time-to-time.

Hope that helps. Just out of interest, what methods are you using to learn French?

It’s interesting you say ‘But I know foreigners who are understanding literally everything in french but prefer to communicate in english. ‘

I know most learners hate the way they sound in a different language, they don’t like the sound of their own voice in a foreign language. I guess listening helps but if you can’t pronounce the word, you need practice.

Also it must get frustrating at some point to understand but always reply back in your native language. I think it more tiring!!!!

@Van Pham – That’s interesting. In what way? Do you have some examples? I would love to know!
    Thanks

Walking into a room full of strangers can be intimidating. The best thing you can do is think about what you need to accomplish here, what are your goals? There is no point trying to strike up a conversation with people who potentially cannot help you.

You mention you know the host, ask them to introduce you to key people, this might not always be possible so you should think about setting yourself an objective, like speaking to 3 new people. In terms of knowing what to say, you could just make a comment about the venue or ask how they know the host? You should maybe focus on asking questions to open the conversation.

It’s not easy but just walk up to someone and ask them, how you doing? Shake their hand and introduce yourself. It’s a challenge but if you manage to do it once, the second time will be easier.

@Daniel, what does it mean in English?

Maybe start thinking in English.. Everytime you get an opportunity, think of how you would actually say your sentences in English.
Check online to see if you are correct.
