For visual learners to learn the alphabet, symbols and pronunciation in Vietnamese – is this correct what you see on the attachment?

Am I right in saying, there are 29 letters. 22 of them are the same as English. The other 7 are derivatives: ă, â, đ, ê, ô, u, and ư.

General point: In English it is best to adopt the rule that you NEVER use an apostrophe to form a plural. Some styles allow for a couple of very rare exceptions, but most writers will never meet them and hardly anybody would notice.

The title of this section should be “Basics in Vietnamese”.
