Some of the tips for developing listening skills:

    1) Keep in mind that the listening material should be easy and pleasing to your ears. Never force yourself to listen
    2) Graduate to a higher level of listening only when you feel confident about your present listening skills.
    3) After listening to a song(in your target language), check the lyrics, you will definitely experience a lot of mishearing(Mondegreen), but that is quite normal.
    4) Last but not the least, follow a disciplined strategy in connection with your listening goals. Persistence is the key to honing your listening skills.

My best listening tip is to follow podcasts.

I use the Ivoox.com app on my mobile, but there are others like Spreaker or iTunes. I download the podcasts through my WiFi and hear it at any time. Usually I hear it when I’m driving home, or when I go out for a walk.

The best is that I don’t need to use my time exclusively to hear English. I do it while I’m doing other things. And think about it. Do you know better things that you can do while commuting than improve your English?
